Paralegal Degrees at our Richfield College

At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB) Richfield, we offer two degrees in paralegal. A student can earn a Bachelor of Science or an Associate in Applied Science degree in paralegal studies from our college. Either of these degrees prepares a student to assist with the delivery of legal services under the supervision of an attorney.

Career opportunities for paralegals

Paralegals are in increasing demand. Legal service from a paralegal can be less expensive than the same services provided by an attorney. People with paralegal training can be found in all types of organizations and industries, from large law firms to small non-profits. Paralegals assist attorneys with a wide variety of tasks, including the following:

  • Litigation
  • Research
  • Document preparation
  • Trial exhibits preparation
  • Investigation
  • Title closing
  • Correspondence

Paralegals work in financial institutions and government agencies as well as in laws firms. They are invaluable members of legal teams.

Program developed with the help of legal professionals

We developed our paralegal programs with the assistance of legal professionals who know the skills and knowledge that lead to success in the field. The attorneys, paralegals and legal office managers who make up our program advisory committee (PAC) also review our degrees regularly so that we continue to offer the most up-to-date education and training.

Paralegal online or on-campus

Both the associate degree and the bachelor’s degree program in paralegal are available online. Online college is a great option for students who hold full-time jobs, have hectic travel schedules or care for family members. They can attend class whenever and wherever they have Internet access. In addition to its great convenience, online study saves students time and money. They don’t have to pay for commuting or childcare.
