Like all our degrees, our programming and game development AAS degree was created with input from our program advisory committee (PAC) made up of experts in the field. The PAC members also review the course content and degree requirements regularly so that we always provide students with the most current education and training.
Courses required
A student can complete this associate degree program in 24 months of full-time study. Students acquire competency in core technologies such as computer programming, database design, and gaming applications such as Flash, 3D Studio Max and DirectX. They study topics that include the following:
- Game architecture
- Animation mathematics
- Audio
- Game development production
- C programming
- C++ programming
- Java programming
- Human form & action
In addition to core requirements, students complete 30 credits of general education courses that strengthen their analytical, communication and presentation skills.
