Why choose our program?

There are many accredited nursing schools. Why should you choose to attend GU/MSB-Richfield? Consider the following:

  • Accredited and approved. This bachelor’s degree program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One DuPont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036.
  • Educating for today. We address contemporary issues in our courses, such as hospice care, alternative treatments and critical care.
  • Small class sizes. Because our classes are small, instructors are able to provide students with individual attention. Students master rigorous material and develop strong relationships with other students and teachers as a result.
  • Simulations. Our students practice on simulation mannequins. They are well-prepared for clinicals and internships because of the practice they receive in the classroom.
  • Preparation. Each class includes sessions that prepare students for the NCLEX-RN exam (National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses).
  • Support. Our program includes a full-time nursing tutor who gives students the academic support they need to succeed.
