Required classes in the AAS degree in cosmetology business
Our degree program provides students with the business training they will need to succeed in the cosmetology business. Our students have completed cosmetology school and know the nuts-and-bolts of the industry. What our program gives them is the business knowledge and skills they need to manage or own businesses or develop marketing strategies for beauty-related industries. They take classes such as:

- Business Communications
- Microsoft Office Professional

- Student Success and Career Development
Students also take 30 credits of general education classes that strengthen their communication and analytical skills.
Admission for cosmetology school graduates
A student must hold a current cosmetologist license and be a graduate of a licensed cosmetology school.
A student may receive college credit for work experience of at least one year as a licensed cosmetologist. Our education department reviews all requests for credit for work experience.
